Disaster Recovery Centers: Essential Resources for Los Angeles Hurricane-Force Firestorm Survivors

Following an unprecedented hurricane-force firestorm, Los Angeles County is mobilizing resources to help survivors recover. Cal OES, FEMA, the County, and other partners have set up Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) as one-stop hubs offering comprehensive support to affected residents and businesses.

What Are Disaster Recovery Centers?

Disaster Recovery Centeres or DRCs are dedicated facilities where survivors can:

  • Apply for Disaster Assistance:
File claims online at DisasterAssistance.gov, call 800-621-3362, use the FEMA smartphone app, or apply in person.

  • Access Vital Resources:
Receive help with housing, rental assistance, financial aid, and repair funds.

  • Connect with Key Agencies:
Meet representatives from county and state agencies to get personalized support.

  • Obtain Non-Profit Assistance:
Learn about additional recovery programs offered by local organizations.

Tip: When visiting a DRC, bring your damaged residence’s address, insurance details, current contact information, and bank account information.
