In a groundbreaking move to address the affordable housing crisis, the City of Long Beach has launched the Backyard Builders Program. This pilot program offers up to ten homeowners the chance to secure a 30-year, zero-interest loan of up to $250,000 to construct an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) on their property.
